About the Series

Allan's Miscellany is an early Victorian magazine run by grumpy, red-haired editor William MacNeil, who watches with misgivings as one by one his writers and artists fall victim to Armor's darts. (Something that will never happen to himself, of course!) (Of course. *insert author's evil cackle*) Allan's now also has its own website with excerpts from the magazine, extras, and background information.

Each of the Allan's Miscellany stories is set against the backdrop of one specific historical event or theme. In the stories from 1844 onward, you will also find a lot of references to my favorite Victorian magazine, Punch. Also, watch out for references to events in later books!
